Seaglass Catcher by Tanner Porter (2023)
Seaglass Catcher refers to the act of running for seaglass you've spied in the sand and surf, leaning down to pick it up, and then marveling at what you've found. This piece unfolds in two contrasting movements, each reflecting a different aspect of the experience. The first movement, marked as “groovy,” mirrors the playful energy of searching for seaglass while the second movement, “contemplative,” invites reflection on the journey of these found objects.
